BarField Idol Information and Forms

General Information

This year’s Barfield Idol show will be December 21, during the abbreviated school day.  The auditions will be in November during school.  The final show participants will be announced on the afternoon of the November 21. 
Qualifications:
 
1.    All class and homework assignments must be completed on time.
      (Talent show is NO excuse for late work)
2.    Students must maintain discipline, follow instructions, and cooperate independent of teacher.
3.    Any audio device may be used on tryouts.  Mr. Simmons will need a copy of your music if you make final performance.
4.    Tryouts - All students must come prepared with music ready, those not ready will not be allowed to audition.  
5.    Teachers will not solve any arguments among group members over performance issues.
6.    All music must be “G” rated!  If it has to have words changed because they are inappropriate for school use, then you cannot us that       song.
7.    All acts must be performance ready at the time of tryout.
8.   Any students receiving in-school or out of school suspensions will be removed from the auditions or performance from November 1.
 
Any student not meeting these expectations will be dismissed from the talent 

Tips for Auditions

1.     Practice and make sure that you are ready for your audition.   Such as:
                                                     Knowing the words to a song if you are singing.
                                                     Knowing the complete routine for any dance or skit (don't play follow the leader).

2.    Be unique, for ideas go to YouTube and look for "America's Got Talent Kids"  but be sure that it is a act that you can do.

3.   When choosing a song the words cannot  be changed in it. For example, changing  bad words or content.  The song must be appropriate to perform in front of Kindergartner's.
